Remember the Past

Volleyball Connection

October 7, 2004

Tired of home works, assignments? Tired of sitting on the chair and staring at the screen all day long? You deserve some exercise and some fun after a day’s of hard working.

Yaah, VOLLEYBALL. There is a Chinese volleyball team here at Indianapolis actively training and playing games in the Mid-West area. The team ranked 3rd during Chicago Chinese Volleyball Tournament this past June among 6 strong teams: UIUC, Purdue, UChicago etc. They will soon go to Purdue on October 16 (Saturday) to meet some of those opponents again. There will be a huge volleyball gathering on October 30 at ST. Louis. Wow, what a plan!

They not only play volleyball, but also organize bowling, traveling and lot of other kind of activities. They even participate in dancing, can you imagine that? It is just like a big family. It is a community where you can have fun, relax and get to know new friends.

Due to the upcoming events, the team meets every week Monday and Wednesday night from 6:30-9 pm in October at:

Don’t wait, come and join us: Indy Chinese Volleyball Team.

Skills and gender don’t matter, the friendship matters!

CSSA

Volleyball Community

November 2, 2004

Dear folks,

The IUPUI CSSA volleyball team welcomes new persons to join us. The team is not purely a sports team. The mission of this team is to provide a platform for interactions among each other internally and externally. So far, we have been very active in building connections with outside communities. We had 2 field trips to Chicago and Purdue University for tournaments to augment our interactions with other schools. Meanwhile, we provide a more family-oriented environment to create bonding among members. We had varieties of parties and trips. Since the current members have very different backgrounds, we provide information and help to each others from varieties of resources, such as tips for living, studying here and even job opportunities. The next grand event most of our members are interested in is “The International Festival”. Some of our members will volunteer in all kinds of cultural displays and demonstrations. Others will even perform in the show. To learn more about the festival, go to:
